We work with photographers and travel to remote locations around the globe to create beautiful portraits and landscapes. One such location is Nepal, and as a photographer, you should visit as well as it is high on every photographer’s bucket list.
If your trip involves photography, make sure to bring the following: Nikon D3s and D800E digital SLR bodies, a Nikon 24-85mm f/3.5-4.5G AF-S ED VR lens, a Nikkon AFS 80-400mm f 4.5-5.6 ED VR lens, and a Nikkon 70-200mm f2.8 G AF-S ED VRII lens.

Must-See Locations
Nepal is filled with spectacular photo opportunities. If you don’t have much time, you should know the best spots to visit. Kathmandu, Chitwan National Park, the Himalayas, and Pokhara are all worth checking out.
Gear Tips
Today, the Himalayan climate is constantly changing. Be prepared for all types of weather by layering your clothes. Always wear a warm base layer and carry a waterproof coat to protect yourself. Gura Gear has a 26L Bataflae Gear Bag that’s perfect for packing the right gear. And if you hire a porter, they’ll carry it all up the mountain with you and talk to you about what they know. For example, Leki makes these great hiking poles that are just the thing for trekking.
Even those who are in excellent cardiovascular shape have had a hard time with the mountains. The safety of those around them should be the first priority.
Travel with Experienced Guides
The Everest Base Camp Trail is often attempted by an inexperienced trekker alone or without a guide. This idea is, of course, a mistake. It often does not end well for the person on the hike. Many people who “go it alone” on the Everest Base Camp trek often end up getting lost, too. They may even never be found again.
